# How building works

In Build mode the AI often proposes a plan (data model, features, pages) before major work. After you approve, it implements against that plan.

GenieForge has many built-in capabilities (database, forms, pages, notifications, files, integrations, automations, and more). The AI pulls in what it needs for the task at hand. You normally describe the outcome and review what gets built.

You can also set **Build Rules** under App Blueprint so lasting preferences (naming, UX, domain constraints) apply across every Build conversation.
